and ready for a rest!!
I had a wonderful time with my Mum. Both of us then went and stayed with Naomi and Grant in Torquay. My lovely friend Jo also visited with us for 3 days from Southampton. I haven't seen her for 3 years after she moved back to the UK.
I bought lots of craft goodies although we were so disappointed to find our favourite craft shop in Totnes has sadly closed. It's strange therefore that I decided to use an image that I had stamped and glittered ages ago.
I had never known how to use it because it was a long rectangle...and then yesterday I decided to cut it down and this is the result.
Card Supplies:
Image from stash.
Ribbon from my Mum's stash.
Half pearls from Papercellar.
Backing paper Sugar & Spice- Dovecraft.
Gold Metallic Webbing from Craft Creations.
Flourishes made using a Cheery Lyn die and Bigshot.
Card and card blank from stash.
I would like to enter the following challenges:

Wags 'n' Whiskers #63- Lace.
Digi Doodle Shop's Best #76 - Autumn Colours.
Ribbon Carousel #21- Lace.

This week it's been Black and White...
and I love the clear lines and simplicity of these cards.
I am always a bit unsure of using only black and white on a card but every time I pluck up courage I am pleased with the results...hopefully you will agree...but if you don't do let me know...I welcome constructive encouragement...ha ha!
I am also out of my comfort zone when using gold and silver together but I think it works.
My starting point for these cards were some sale items I bought on one of my trips to the UK. I saw the pack of silver and black Christmas trees and they were so cheap I couldn't resist them...
I have saved some for my card class...I am looking forward to the reactions for a monochrome card... my girls really like the traditional colours for Christmas...reds, golds, greens etc.
Card Supplies.
Trees: I think they are from The Range.
Ribbon: From Ollie Doodles, Costa Blanca and my Mum's stash.
Greetings: Docrafts SeeD's and computer generated.
Circles cut using Big Shot and Nesties.
Memento ink.
Backing paper is a black & white photocopy of a coloured paper.
Bling from stash as is all the card.
Copious amounts of Stickles Glitter glue...mainly Icicle and Silver.
I would like to enter the following challenges.
Blog-a-Doddle: Anything Goes.
Digi Doodle Shop's Best: Circles.
Ribbon Carousel: Anything Goes.

White on white..
I love white embossed cards and was inspired by the CAS blog for these cards.
I also love the flourish from Cheery Lynn....so as you can imagine I am quite pleased to be able to combine both aspects on these cards.
These were easy to make and I am putting them in my 'quick & easy' box as they can be used for many occasions.
This was another easel card I made last week for a friend...similar to the previous one in pink but I loved colouring the image....I think I need a hammock before next summer!!
You may have noticed the extra blog this week. We had a wonderful thunder storm yesterday which has cleared the air and lowered the temperature a little....I am on a crafting roll.
Thank you for visiting my blog. I love your encouraging comments.
Have a wonderful week.

Flower power!
I have been sorting some of the flowers I bought from ebay a few years ago....they were a real bargain...over 500 flowers and petals for less than 15 pounds...I don't think I will ever manage to find another bargain like that again....but I live in hope. As I was checking what colours I need to stock up on a few just arranged themselves together and this is the card that evolved... I have been experimenting with a few fonts and sentiments. I also used some die cut leaves under the flowers which you can't see very clearly in the photo. I used mulberry paper and they really add to the texture. In the background you can see some of our lovely palms and tomato plants. We have not had any rain for ages so the tomato crop has involved lots of work watering them...but they taste so different from those in the shops. Card Supplies: Flowers - Ebay, stash and WOD.
Card, backing paper and ribbon - Ollie Doodles, Costa Blanca.
Bling and half pearls- Papercellar.
Flourishes and leaves - Cheery Lyn, Sissix and BigShot.
Sentiment cut using Nesties.
Glitter- Stickles.
I would like to enter this card for the following challenges.

Polka Doodles- Autumn Leaves.
