for me but I couldn't stop once I had started. This card is also for the card class to show how to make the straight ribbon. I also wanted the girls to practice stamping with the background but I think it is a little too busy for my taste.
I want to send quite a few Thank you cards to various individuals and businesses that have helped the Reach out Centre and this is one for the Thank You Card box...it's a bit like a bouquet of flowers!!
I love the Woodware Christmas Flowers Punch...but sadly it decided to break after only a few weeks of use...and I was so careful about the thickness of card I used. I will therefore have to wait a few weeks before the class can make this card as I am waiting for a replacement punch.

Another post from me today...
I am on a roll!!!
I thought this card would prove quite easy for the girls...I couldn't believe how wrong I was...they nearly all decided they couldn't dry emboss using the Glitter Girls boards...and refused to have a go!!!! I had taken spare card for them to practice on but after the first one refused they all followed suit..apart from some of the more experienced ones. It was so funny...I thought about writing to the Glitter Girls and telling them!!!
Card Supplies:
Embossing board and tool - Glitter Girls.
Border - EK Success Arch Scallop.
Butterfly - Marianne Designs.
Bling - Papercellar.
Card blank and peel offs from stash.
Tumble dryer sheet to ease embossing.

Are you brave enough....
to put your less favourite cards on your blog? Well here goes with one of mine!!!
I had this image and wanted to use it even though I was not that keen on it....but even though I used pretty embellishments it never felt quite right to me. However I know that who ever I send it to will be pleased with it.
Hope you have a lovely week crafting,I enjoy visiting your blogs and thank you for your encouraging comments,
Hugs,
Sandra

Pretty in purple...
one of my favourite colours, and ages since I have used it.
Every week at my card class I like to try and introduce the girls to new tools or skills. Last week it was spirella, this week it is the use of border punches and ProMarkers. Some of the girls are now making cards at home but it is more difficult for them to buy materials here in Spain. Thank fully more of the internet stores are now dropping their exhorbitant European postage charges....I have to admit to getting cross when I order a die and they want to charge me 18 pounds!!!! I now use Joanne Sheen and Craft Barn who are brilliant. My only difficulty is getting good quality and paper...usually I have to bring it over with me in my suitcase. As I usually only travel with hand luggage it means I have to leave clothes behind!!!
Card Supplies:
Image and Greeting - Kan Ban.
Flowers - Woodware Punch Christmas Flowers.
ProMarkers for colouring. (Including the new glitter pens....lovely effect.)
Martha Stewart punch for border and corners.
Bling, Card and paper from stash.
Challenges entered :
Anything Goes # 58: Anything Goes.
Catch the Bug : Birthday.
Challenge up your life # 60 : Bingo- Purple, Lace (Lace Scroll punch used) Flowers.
For Fun Challenges : Anything Goes.
I Love ProMarkers : # 99 Cute & Cuddly.
Passion for ProMarkers : Song (Kiss that frog Peter Gabriel)
Stamping Sisters in Christ : Something New....glitter ProMarkers.
I hope you have an especially blessed week.
Thank you for stopping by and for the lovely, encouraging comments.
Hugs,

It's a lovely day today
with hardly a cloud in the sky....it feels as if spring is in the air.
Spent the morning preparing for the class I run on Friday mornings. I teach girls (actually they are all retired apart from me!!) who have no experience to those with a little....and I love it.
I found some spirella shapes a few weeks ago and knew that the girls would love trying it....I can already hear the groans from some of them.
So often when I am showing them the card they are already saying, "I can't do that," but by the end of the lesson they are suitably surprised at how well they have done...I love encouraging women...so many of us have gone through life being told what we can't do..or that we are useless...I want to help turn those thoughts and ideas around...and card making and crafts of all types can acheive this.
Sorry for the flash on the photos but by the time I get home from the Reachout Centre the light has gone from the terrace.
I think the overall effect is quite classy and I would use this for both men and women's cards.
I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:
Pile it on # 2 : Manly cards.
Dream Valley : Anything Goes.
Card Supplies:
Card blank and large Spirella shape from LeCrea Designs.
Small Spirella Nesties die cut using my Big Shot.
Large shape inked with Tim Holtz Distressed ink-Tattered rose.
Backing paper is by Tina Higgins Papermania.
Bronze half pearls from Papercellar.
Greeting from Anita's.
Gold thread from stash.
Welcome to my new followers and thank you for stopping by and for all the lovely comments.
Have a wonderful week,
Hugs,
Sandra

A Happy New Year to all....
I hope this year is all you want it to be and more.
Terry and I had a really relaxed Christmas and New Year....we would loved to have had Naomi, Grant and my Mum with us...but we have got used to that now. I had a lovely Christmas day in the UK when I went over which was really special and it really didn't matter that the date was not 25th December...it was just like a Christmas should be!!
The opening of the Reachout centre has kept me very busy but I have managed a little crafting in the last few days.
In total I made 4 cards for the boys in the family...all very similar, just the girls to go.I do like to get all the Birthday cards done for the family at this time of year. It's a job ticked off my list and always seems to get me back crafting again after the holiday period.
Card Supplies:
Card blank, ribbon and the plain backing papers are from my stash.
The patterned backing paper was bought on a holiday to Canada.
The light blue paper is the inside of a business envelope!
The image is ages old and is a Magnolia Edwin stamp.
I coloured the image with ProMarkers.
Martha Stewart punch.
The new items are the very versatile candi from Craftworks...first time I have used them and I love them.
I would like to add this card to the following Challenges:
Pile it on #1 - Anything Goes.
Anything Goes Challenge - Blue + 1 other colour.
Digi Doodle Shop's Best - Anything Goes.
Ribbon Carousel Challenge # 34 - Anything Goes
Cooking it Up - - Anything Goes.
I LovePromarkers - Anything Goes.
JellyparkChallenge - Old/New. (My old is the Edwin stamp and the new is the Craftworks Candi)
Cards for Men - Recycling. (business envelope)
Hope you have a wonderful week,
Hugs,
Sandra
